Math: Use words such as "more", "less", "same", or "equal" to compare objects. sorting, and numeral identification. The many ways to make 4 and 5, and how they look in an equation. Sorting objects.

Month of March through the beginning of April
Unit of Study- Community, Community Helpers, and Transportation
This month I am turning each center into a specific building we can visit in the community. Instead of doing a weekly lesson plan, I will note the center for the month and the activities and targets we will be focusing on.
Science/Social Studies: What is a community? What is a community helper? What is transportation? Compare and contrast country, suburb, and city.
Literacy: Sounds and letters. matching beginning sounds in words.
Math: comparing objects, sorting, numeral identification

Block Center (Construction): Build a community with houses, blocks and adding transportation.

Math Center ('BOT Shop): Robot board game, Robot shop- build robot head patterns, sort out the robot part (shapes)

Science Center (Fitness Center): learn how to be healthy with exercise, yoga, "weight lifting". Identifying body parts and healthy and unhealthy habits.
